Q. When I use the
"Room Wizard", I can't see into the room to place furniture
because the walls are blocking my view.
By right-clicking on any wall, you can
access the Wall menu. Select the "Stub Wall" command to
temporary shorten the wall so you easily view past the wall. To
reverse the command, right-click the "stubbed" wall and select
"Unstub Wall" from the menu.

Q. Is there any way
to change the background screen color?
Yes. Select the "Tools"
menu and then "Drawing Preference". Under the
"Background" tab, you can modify the background color of your
work area to best suit your preference. Simply double-click the
current color on the dialog box to choose your color.

Q.
Why can't I see the preview of my symbol?
This preview window
uses the OpenGL video driver to display the symbol preview. Make
sure your video card is set to handle OpenGL.
Q. I
want to add a texture or color to my floor but I can't select the floor to
add the texture.
By using the "Room Wizard" to
create your room, the floor layer is defaulted to "Display
Only". To add a texture or color to your floor, change the
layer to "On". Then you will be able to select your
floor.
***NOTE*** We recommend that when you are
not modifying your floor, to keep the layer in "Display
Only". Otherwise it is difficult to select symbols without
selecting the floor.
Q. I'm
ready to show my project to a client, but I don't want to see the symbol
nodes. How do I turn them off?
The node display is toggled by checking
and un-checking the "Symbol Snap". When the snap is
unchecked, the nodes do not display.
Q.
Is there a manual for ProjectWorkspace?
No, not at this time. However, we
do offer Video Tutorials on
the basics of ProjectWorkspace. Please check back from time to
time to get additional videos that we will be adding on more
advanced features.
Q.
How compatible is ProjectWorkspace with AutoCAD and other software
packages?
ProjectWorkspace is very compatible.
Drawings can be imported from or exported to AutoCAD with no loss of
product attribute data. Once a ProjectWorkspace drawing is imported into
AutoCAD, the blocks can be reloaded from the original library.
 DWG
files from other popular software packages have imported with a high
level of success. Fully rendered images can be exported to Google
Sketchup where additional rendering styles and shadows may be applied to
the images. SIF product data may also be imported from and exported to a
large number of industry software tools.
