Q. When attempting a PSPlace function, I get a "CrossRef.dll" not found.

Please click HERE to download a missing file.  This should be unzipped into the C:\ProgramFiles\ProjectMatrix\ProjectSymbols\R17 folder.

Q. When will ProjectMatrix support AutoCAD 2007?

AutoCAD 2007 installation and support will be on the March 2007 DVD.

Q. Some symbols won't convert to 3D.

There are two things that could cause this problem.  First is that the 3D symbol is missing, or the XREF file is missing the link.  Second, you may just have to change some settings in your PSPlace.  For a simple 4 step process click HERE to view a PDF to try.

Q. When I use the plot commands with Haworth's new symbol format it does not work?

The problem is caused because there is an old layer file on your computer. You need to search your entire C: drive for "haw.lyr". The correct "haw.lyr" should be found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ProjectMatrix. DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE. If there are other occurrences of this file on your computer please delete them. If this does not correct your problem do the following:

  1. launch AutoCAD
  2. at a command prompt enter PSFINDFILE
  3. enter HAW.LYR and select enter
  4. if HAW.LYR is found anywhere other than C:\Program Files\Common Files\ProjectMatrix delete that occurrence and then repeat the PSFINDFILE until it is found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ProjectMatrix.

Q. I keep getting a message that my subscription is going to end. Will the program still work?

The program has a 30-day reminder built into it and upon opening the program it will let you know there are 30 days left, 29...28.. and so forth. This reminder does not prevent you from using the program. Click on Continue and proceed with your work. If you have any problems with this, please call our support team. The quickest way to get rid of this message is to renew your subscription! Call us at (513) 554-1665. We will be happy to assist you.

Q. How do I reset the scale factor after starting a drawing?

Save file and shutdown AutoCAD. Then restart AutoCAD. When you install a symbol you will be asked for the scale factor.

Q. My PSPlace menu is not displayed in Autocad.

Inside Autocad (depending on the version) you need to type 'menuload' on the command line. Then in the menugroups tab you should see 'psplacemnu'. If not, browse to C:\Program Files\ProjectMatrix\ProjectSymbols\R15 or R16 if Autocad 2004. Select 'addpspl.mnc'. Then LOAD. Then go to menubar tab and insert the two pull-down menu's. This will restore your pull downs.
